The Vanity Tray

f r a g r a n c e
a pleasant sweet smell or a perfume/aftershave.

Today's blogpost is all about five new fragrances I have very kindly been gifted by Fragrance Direct which you can shop at the end of this post. In the meantime, I wanted to share with you a couple of thrifty and affordable ideas for vanity trays that you could get yourself to store your favourite fragrances!

A great place to start for thrifty ideas for vanity trays are in the kitchen sections. In particular I love T K Maxx and Homesense as they have marble slab chopping boards but equally really nice wooden chopping boards. I've even seen marble trays in there with gold edging which reminds me of the ones you might find in Urban Outfitters or Anthropology but for a fraction of the price. Or why not be really thrifty and buy some gold paint and DIY the marble slab edging yourself!

If you watch my Youtube videos you may have noticed I have started thrifting more and checking out local charity shops of which I've discovered some great finds! One of which was this thrifted woven wicker tray and at only £1 I was thoroughly impressed and super excited to find! The only downside to using this one in particular as a vanity tray, is that it only really fits 3-5 fragrances on which for most would suit but being a blogger, and one of the perks of the job is receiving many new fragrances to try, I have too many to fit on this tray. So I still love it and I will be utilising this tray in a different way. I'm thinking a candle, reed diffuser and plant to display downstairs maybe...let me know your suggestions! Why don't you head into your local charity shop, even if you're usually a little sceptical, you never know what you might find!

Poundland have some great bargains. As a lot of my followers would know, I upload regular (usually monthly) Poundland hauls! One of my latest finds was a wooden framed mirror which I thought could double as vanity tray. And again at only one pound, it's a bargain!

So there you have my top three ideas for affordable vanity trays. However, another thing I have seen that you may want to try out for yourself, is using a cake stand! Again T K Maxx and Homesense would be my first shops to stop at. Yet another affordable idea would be to use a placemat as a vanity tray. A favourite of mine would be the IKEA Soare Placemat priced at just £3.50. Now onto my five new fragrances from Fragrance Direct... *cue the excitement!
