All White Wishlist

When I think of the month August I think of the colour white. As you know I'm all about monochrome and neutrals and anything on that colour spectrum always captures my attention. I once met a blogger who's niche couldn't be further from mine with her whole style and look focusing on the more colour the better. She styled her hair in rainbow shades, mix and matched the brightest and boldest coloured fabrics, and loved floral patterns and textures. When we worked together as the only two influencers present, it was so great to meet her and understand that everyone should have their own unique style. Style is a very personal thing and I don't think there is a wrong way and a right way to wear trends. I feel everyone should embrace setting their own trends and wear what you like.

My personal style is mostly monochromatic with a variety of different fabrics and textures mix and matched. Soon enough, as the colder months approach, I start to reach for the darker nudes, greys and the blacks in my wardrobe. For now however, with wedding season in peak for Brits, and the golden glow we all embrace from the sunshine, I love all things white! So today, I am creating a white Wishlist with some of the things I have spotted and would love to get my hands on! Furthermore, all of these items are sale items because let's face it, I love a good bargain. More often than not, when brands contact me to work with them and if I am gifted clothes, they are full priced. Whereas in reality, I'm far more drawn to the sales rail as I simply cannot resist a bargain! If you prefer shopping the sales like me and you are an avid online shopper, I love as it does exactly that! It combines lots of sale pages from a variety of retailers all in one place. So without further ado, I'm going to jump straight into the all white Wishlist for august, enjoy! Let me know which pieces are your favourite and let me know what you think to an all white cookbook over on my Youtube channel... just a little food for thought ;)

I love white swimwear in August - nothing is as chic as a simple white one piece swimsuit on the beach in my opinion, just make sure you choose quality to avoid a sheer mishap! I love this swimsuit from Calvin Klein which is currently in the sale from £109.99 to £65.99.

I love a simple white dress in August - you can get such a white varieties for all occasions, but maybe just avoid wearing white to any summer weddings you'll be attending! I love this white dress from REISS which is currently in the sale from £180 to £110.

A lightweight pair of white pants in August is so chic and classy. For the cooler more casual summer nights, white jeans are a go-to for me. I love the raw hem on this pair of H&M jeans, currently in the sale form £34.99 to just £12.99!

I love a crisp white shirt in August especially during a British summer which isn't always 30 degree temperatures let's be honest! I love this white cold shoulder shirt from River Island which is currently in the sale from £26 to £15.

I always say less is more. In summer when you have any special occasions that require a heel, I love staying comfortable in wedges. However I never feel quite as dressy as a simple stiletto. I really like the simplicity of these Missguided barely there heels which are currently in the sale from £20 to just £12!

Benefit Boi-ing Concealer - which is best?

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening...whatever the time is for you, welcome back to my blog and I hope you're all well! Today I wanted to do a bit of a review and comparison between some of the Benefit concealers. It's rare that I would ever have the opportunity to write a review like this considering I wouldn't buy multiple variations of the same product and from the same brand. So of course when I was very kindly gifted these 'Boi-ing' concealers from Benefit, I wanted to tell you all about them and their differences.

You may or may not have noticed, but just the other week I was fortunate enough to work with Benefit and I took over their Instagram stories. I shared all the brow products that I have been loving and my full brow routine so let me know if you did catch that! I'd love to hear what you thought! For today however, let's talk concealers! Firstly, I think it's important to mention, that all four of these concealers come in three shades of which I was sent the lightest shade (01) in all four concealers.

Coverage: Sheer-Medium
Best for: Everyday
Rating: 4/5
Would I Re-Purchase: Yes, this is a staple concealer for everyday coverage, I'd class it as medium to full though which is a bonus!

benefit boo-ing hydrating concealer

Primark Vlog & Try on Haul

Hello, and happy hump day everybody! It's that time of the week when we start the countdown to the weekend and today I thought I would sporadically upload a little Primark video of my recent trip along with a few clips of what is currently in store and what I picked up! I managed to find a few things, despite this Primark just being a smaller and more local one that is in no way the same league as my two favourite Primark's, Manchester and Bristol! That being said, I was surprised to come across a couple of things so I want to wish you an enjoyable rest of the week starting with this little video creation, ENJOY!

P.S. Also do let me know if you prefer this style of a Primark Haul or the other ones I have done so far with the try on section at home without the vlog!

Easy Hairstyles for Long Hair

Happy Sunday! I hope you are all well! Today I wanted to share a few images of different quick and easy hairstyles for all hair types but particularly for long hair. I have recently uploaded a video on my Youtube channel with 7 different hairstyles in total and these four are my favourite. If you want to see all 7 hairstyles, simply scroll down to the bottom of this post and you can watch the full video! Enjoy!

| H A I R S T Y L E  O N E |

This first hairstyle is by far my most popular hairstyle to wear. It's very simple and so quick to do as it's not much more than a simple high ponytail. The only difference being with the hair bobble I use. I have recently joined the trend of using these coil like plastic hair bobbles for my high ponytail. Not only is is better for your hair as it's less likely to snag or pull, but with the coil-like shape, it makes the ponytail appear a lot thicker. This is a great trick particularly if you have thinner hair. Also, why not take a small section from the ponytail and wrap it around the bobble and secure with a bobby pin to disguise the cheat! All the bobbles I used in this tutorial were kindly gifted to me by a brand called Scunci - you can shop their products here.

I discovered this hairstyle in a video created by a favourite Youtuber of mine, Jordan Lipscombe. She has such fabulously thick hair to make anyone envious of and I loved how simple this look was that she created. To make the look, you simply take three small sections at the top of your hair, twist it slightly and secure with a small clear elastic band. This makes a nice alternative to a half up do as it allows your hair to be off your face whilst creating the illusion that it is still down.

This third hairstyle is another favourite of mine although slightly less used. The only reason being is that I don't always get the bun right first time. The more you try and fail, the more frustrated you get! Being completely honest, this look is a complete chance on how it turns out, having said that, you can always secure the bun down win bobby pins if you have some to hand.

Lastly, this fourth look is probably my second most used hairstyle after the high ponytail. More often than not, this messy bun is just for taking my makeup off or for around the house. But again, like the half up bun, if the messy bun turns out good and in my favour, I always love to wear my hair like this out and about. It's particularly good during the summer months to get all the hair of the back of my neck (we all know that feeling!).

You can see 7 different hairstyles in this video tutorial on my Youtube Channel. I hope you like it!

Everyday Natural Makeup

This week I witnessed the most beautiful wedding in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to! I have vlogged the entire experience for my Youtube Channel and plastered it all over Instagram stories and Snapchat with live updates so if you somehow missed all of that, then you won't know that I have spent the last few days on the beautiful island of Ibiza. We were staying there for a friends wedding and I wanted to do a quick real-time makeup tutorial of this natural dewy look for the perfect (in my opinion) wedding makeup. With the heat and the emotion, I knew I wanted something light and natural that would be long-lasting at the same time. I filmed the look which you can watch here and I have listed all the products I used to create this look should you wish to check them out yourself! In the meantime, stay tuned for Sunday's video in which I will be uploading the holiday vlog!

Special Announcement!

No, I'm not pregnant.

No, I'm not engaged.

No, I'm not buying a house...not anytime soon anyway.

In fact I'm actually announcing something far more exciting... it's official! I'm now finally a full time blogger, Youtuber, Instgrammer, influencer...whatever you want to call it, I'm officially doing my love and passion as a full-time job! I honestly can't quite believe the support I've had even right from the start. I started up my blog just over two years ago now and having started my Youtube channel up 2 months ago, I have had such great feedback and support from everyone, that I have to decided to make it my full time thing!

So, with the days spent not knowing what tomorrow will bring, yes it's a little daunting, but my blog, (and now Youtube) is finally at a stage whereby my hard work is starting to pay off and brands that I've loved for so long are starting to want to work with me...yes, ME! I'm honestly so happy and for everyone who is new to my platform...welcome, and for everyone who has followed me from the start and every day in between, I just want to say...THANK YOU! You have helped my dream become a reality. I love what I do, this lifestyle and hobby is a true passion of mine and quite frankly it's the only thing I've ever been sure of what I have wanted to do in my life!

Have an upload schedule (see my new schedule below)
Create quality content
Have a niche
Support other influencers you love
Don't have too high expectations
Be prepared to work hard
Be selective with brand opportunities
Interact with other like-minded people
Be prepared to show vulnerability
Forget the haters
Don't care too much about what others think
Invest into your blog (a custom URL, a blogger template, a camera)

As always I will be uploading a new blogpost every Wednesday and Sunday, however I will in fact be uploading three Youtube videos a week on Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm and Sundays at 11am from at some point mid August. Although timings and scheduling my differ slightly this is the schedule I will be aiming towards so keep your eyes peeled for new content every week! I also upload daily on my Instagram (@freyafarrington1) and bring you along on my daily life adventures over on Snapchat. I love to hear from you so if ever you see me, stop and say hello! If ever you have any content ideas, comment on my platforms and if ever you just fancy a chat, tweet me! I'd love to hear from you and interact with you! Thank you once again for all the love and support so far, and I'm sending everyone a little virtual *cheers* to what is to come!

21 Things That Are Better Than Sex

They say 'sex sells'... Why? Because it's so good? The best thing on earth? granted, orgasms have been clinically proven to increase your pain threshold, relieve stress and anxiety.
So yes sex is great and we all do it, but is it really the best thing in the world...? As I sit out on my balcony in this beautiful villa in Ibiza, surrounded by people in my life that bring me so much love and happiness, I think...yes! This moment is a memory I will keep forever and dare I say it, is better than sex! Happiness and love is the best thing and I'm so grateful to have so much of it in my life. You might think well that's easy for me to say - I'm in a happy, long-term relationship and have an amazing family, but it's not always been this easy... I've gone through heartbreak, suffered loss, been affected by illnesses, but it's how I have overcome these situations that has made me the happiest I've ever been today *she types with a big grin and welling up a little*. So I have decided today to channel my happy energy into a little feel-good list of things that make me smile in the hope they make you smile too!

My Top 'Feel Good' Moments

- Feeling the warmth hit you when you step off that plane
- Taking the first sip of coffee
- A manicured set of nails
- Snuggling in front of the fire
- Lighting the Christmas tree lights
- Getting into a freshly made bed with crisp white sheets
- Seeing the excitement on my puppy's face when I walk through the door
- My boyfriend kissing me on the forehead
- Loving my real tan AND clear skin
- A good mascara (ironically, Too Faced Better than Sex is my current fav!)
- Breaking the seal on a fresh pot of Nutella
- When both eyebrows match
- Being freshly waxed and silky smooth
- The first mouthful of my favourite dessert
- That POST-workout feeling
- Seeing the delivery man holding a big parcel, with my name on it!
- Completing my daily to-do list
- Getting a full body massage
- Stepping out of the hair salon with fresh locks *flicks hair*
- Having a wardrobe clearcut and discovering new items you forgot you had!
- Realising you're in love <3

Are you yet to find a stable and happy relationship and perhaps you're looking for love... Why not try something out of your comfort zone. Try a singles night out, or perhaps even try online dating! Here are some links to help you join the online dating community related to where you're from (Manchester dating site; over 50s dating Oxfordshire; over 50s dating Suffolk; Birmingham dating site; Lincolnshire dating site and see more here). Before looking for love, I'd firstly make sure you learn to love yourself first. Be happy in your own company, understand and realise the importance of quality 'you-time' and trust me, the right person will come along at the right time.

Empowered Women Empower Women!

Youtuber, Blogger, and probably the most honest and best advice giver I know is Gracie Francesca. Having starting following her blog an youtube channel a few years ago, I have watched her grow from strength to strength and she has taught me to love myself and above all stand up for what you believe in. Gracie has grown so much from when I first watched her videos whilst she still worked full time as a child care worker. She has always empowered me and her slogan, "Empowered omen empower women" is such a fantastic saying that I too live by. I think we live in a society today where women hold positions of authority and power respected by men and women and after all, Beyonce wasn't built in a day! I truly believe that if you work hard and follow your dreams, anything is possible! For me, I take inspiration from successful female Youtube stars as it's pretty much the only thing I've ever been certain of wanting to do in my life. I love this platform, I see the incredible opportunities it can bring and see such a great future with Youtube and Blogs that I'm so grateful to be a part of this movement. So below are a few thoughts that came to my mind to highlight the importance of love, freedom and empowerment and I hope that you too feel empowered to empower!

Compliment someone everyday
Simply smile
Offer a helping hand
Take risks
Love like you wish to be loved
Learn to say no
Eliminate the negatives
Surround yourself with positive people
Believe in yourself
Stand up for what you believe in
Learn to love your body
Embrace change
Treat yourself...and don't feel guilty for it either!

I don't believe anyone can look for love and expect to find it. Otherwise, you're only potentially setting yourself up for disappointment. I'd firstly make sure you learn to love yourself. Learn that it is ok to be in your own company. I love quality 'me-time', whether its a pamper session, going to the salon, catching up on trash tv or indulging in a big bar of chocolate! You can of course, make yourself open to dating by heading out with the girls or perhaps start online (Guildford dating; Exeter dating; Reading dating; West Midlands dating; Woking dating or even adult dating sites) and believe me, the right person will come along at the right time.
