A Review of the Soleil Tan de Chanel Universal Bronzer

If you saw my 'What I Got for Christmas' blog post you will have noticed one of my gifts was the Soleil Tan de Chanel or otherwise known as the Universal Bronzer. The first time I tried this was actually by borrowing my friends one on a night out and ever since I always wanted to get my hands on it! When I finally got around to saving the money to buy it, Chanel took it off the shelves! A sales assistant advised it would be back in time for Christmas so I added it to my wish list for Santa!

The moussey, creamy-like texture feels light on the skin but is much longer lasting than just a powder alone. It's also great if you suffer from dry skin or prefer the dewy textured finish as it keeps your skin well hydrated by avoiding all powder-based products. There is only one shade hence why the product is referred to as the universal bronzer. So far my expectations from trying it and falling in love with it that first time, to including in my daily routine, have not been disappointing.

If you want to try it out for yourself, the Chanel bronzer retails for around £32 and can be purchased here.

Revolution 'Ultra Contour' and 'Run Boy Run' Salvation Palettes

I first tried Revolution Cosmetics after watching a video of Shaaanxo's comparing high end makeup with drugstore dupes. She compared the Stila Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow which retails at about £33 with the Revolution Eye Foil version currently in the sale retailing for just £2! She even said she preferred the Revolution version, so I gave it a try, loved it and have since bought a few other Revolution goodies.

The Revolution Ultra Contour Palette

The palette consists of 8 powders for contouring, sculpting and highlighting. I have 4 or 5 other contour palettes in my makeup collection and this one is definitely proving to be up there as a great dupe alongside my high end contour palettes!

The Revolution 'Run Boy Run' Salvation Palette

The palette consists of 18 shades combining both matte and shimmer shades with great pay off. My favourite shades are 'Day is a Prophesy', 'Break Out from Society' and 'Don't Have to Hide Away' (see swatches below).

The Press Tent - Manchester's Blogger Meet-up

The lovely girls from The Press Tent put on a fab event last Monday and this time they went even bigger and in my opinion better than their last event! They have come on leaps and bounds as the brand and blogger bases have grown rapidly since starting up The Press Tent.

The event was held at the popular venue Yard & Coop, based in the Northern Quarter. There was a constant supply of cocktails and pink champagne from Luc Belaire Rose and Luxardo, giving all us bloggers that warm and fuzzy feeling we all want and need this season.

There were a lot more brands this time and therefore more opportunities to network and meet lots of fabulous people! My favourite brand and the one I would recommend checking out the most was Beaumont Organic. The night ended with each blogger taking home an exiting 'review box' full of new goodies to try!

A want to say a massive congratulations for their hard work and successfully hosting a great blogger event not to be missed by anyone and I can't wait for the next!
