EGO Shoes - Finding the perfect summer heels...

With a holiday to Crete looming, I wanted to purchase a few new pairs of heels for holiday. I wanted nude or white; my favourite colour palette for summer and a few varieties of styles.

Most Manchester students will be aware of Ego Shoes located in the Arndale Shopping Centre as cheap, affordable and on trend shoes perfect for those nights out that, let's be honest, may ruin your heels.

So when I got the opportunity to go and choose a few pairs to feature on my blog, I of course jumped at the opportunity! The three pairs I have selected are all available to purchase online or in store, let me know your favourite pair!

PAIR 1 - Penelope Nude Pointed Toe Stiletto Heels - £24.99 The classic nude patent court shoe

PAIR 2 - Gianna Nude Lace Up Heels - £29.99 Introducing lace-ups to my

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard...

Today I wanted to share a new favourite of mine, with half the sugar of most fruit smoothies, high in protein, no more than 150 calories and low in fat, The Good Whey Co, maker of protein shake brand Upbeat, sent me some fabulous feel-good treats to try. Upbeat’s growth has been driven by sales to women, who are increasingly turning to nutrient-rich foods instead of fatty snacks. I've never been a fan of protein shakes in between workouts as quite frankly, they scare me! However with Upbeat, the unisex bottle has been modelled on the fun, inclusive branding used by companies like Innocent smoothies.

After high-intensity, high-impact exercise, drinking an Upbeat smoothie helps your body recover and there are several delicious flavours to choose from including: Strawberry; Blueberry & Raspberry; Mango & Passion Fruit; and more recently and my favourite, Chocolate & Orange. You can find these shakes in all the leading supermarkets alongside the other regular milkshakes in the refrigerated drinks isle.

It's like a bit of extra willpower in a bottle!

A Visit to Five Guys in the Trafford Centre, Manchester

From previously living in America where a trip to Five Guys became a regular occurrence, it felt only right to continue that tradition when Five Guys finally came to Britain. With several chains open up and down the country, Manchester’s Trafford Centre, which is practically an American mall in itself, was one of the first locations to welcome the move across to Britain. So here are my views on the Five Guys restaurant at the Intu Trafford Centre, Manchester:

The restaurant is located in the Orient and it's all fairly open compared to other restaurants. I can't decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing as I do like the open feel to it however I found there were other people dining in the same area who hadn't actually bought the Five Guys food.

THE FOOD – 9/10

When it comes to fast food, the competition is getting tougher and tougher and Five Guys is definitely towards the top of the list for originality. At the end of the day, it's a fast food chain so I feel it's only fair to rate the food in comparison to other fast food restaurant as it's clear to see it's not fine dining. So as far as 'fast food' goes, it's definitely my favourite of ALL the chains. I like the way the potatoes are in sacks in the restaurant area with the location of where they come from, I think it's a great little decorative element.

The way the service works at Five Guys is that you choose your burger size, select your favourite toppings, choose your size of hand cut fries and top it off with an all-American free refill soda drink.  There isn't table service so the service we did receive at the tills was with a smile so I'm happy.

THE PRICE - 10/10
With prices ranging from around £5-£10, Five Guys is my number one choice to satisfy a fast-food fix at a great cost!

What do you think of Five Guys?
